Attack on Amona: Jews versus Jews

Attack on Amona: Jews versus Jews

Did you see that picture in your paper?

I'm talking about the Israel troops mounted on great horses driving Israel citizens out of the illegal outpost of Amona on the West Bank.

One soldier is mounted on a fantastic white horse you would give your left ear for.

Wow!

What a critter.

Anyway, do you remember the Tsar's mounted troops running over communist demonstrators back before you were born?

Probably not. (Didn't you see Doctor Zhivago (1965)? Go to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059113/. I don't recommend that you run down and get the CD or VCR tape of Doctor Zhivago if you don't like sad faces.

Well, this was as Yogi said, "It's deja vu all over again."

It was clubs and water cannons against sticks, stones, bricks, and paint.

What a nasty situation.

Have you ever been hit in the head with a stone?

I've got a scar that shows that David (or one of his men, according to some scholars) could have laid Goliath low from 30 yards. The guy that hit me didn't even have a slingshot. (I won't tell you that his name was L. P. as to not embarrass him.)

I've dodged a few bricks as I reported in my article on the Celery Patch wars. I've dodged a few sticks to. It's the paint that I would be worried about. It could send you home red-faced.

The troops drug dozens of protesters from bobbed wire barricades. Not one wanted to go. They were placed in handcuffs. One old lady said, "Not so tight, idiot!à €Â Okay, I made that up. What she said was not printable or it would have been in my newspaper.

There also a picture of a police knee on an Israeli citizen's head. The soldier had all of his weight on the knee to keep the guy's poor head pinned to the ground. I guess the cop thought that if he could keep this guy's head pinned down on the rocks (that were plainly visible) the rest of his body would stay down until they could get the handcuffs on him.

The guy on the ground was smiling. Don't ask me what he had to smile about.

I don't know if the Israeli policemen were smiling. Not one policeman's face was shown in the photos. For scientific accuracy, the faces of the Israelis were shown. There were fifteen that can be later identified in court. That includes the guy with the knee on his head.

The Israeli police did all of the above with no help at all from Hamas.

The End
