Are we seeing a slow down between the war with Hezbollah and Israel? Is this war finally winding down and fizzling out, or are we seeing an escalation and advances in the fighting? We seem to be seeing less coverage and yet we know fighting is going on. Of course other stories have stolen the headline after nearly a month long fighting such as the foiled Terror Plot of Al Queda to blow up some 20-aircraft and airliners full of traveling civilians.
Does this lull in coverage of the war mean that the war is winding down now? Or is this simply a media break for now due to other stories in the news like the Typhoon, which hit China and the thwarted International Terrorist Plot. By all indications it appears that Hezbollah has put up a tough fight and yet they are appearing to be driven back, with no way to get the supplies into their deteriorating front lines.
Will a cease-fire ever take place or will it be a little late by the time it is argued over in the World Political Ring? If a cease-fire is agreed upon at the United Nations will it be honored by either side? When will Syria make their first strike and join in the fighting and what is going on with Iran and their August 23 threats? Consider all this in 2006. |
